Oppo is expected to debut its Oppo Find X6 series later this month, and fresh leaks have given us our best look yet at the high-end entry in the upcoming line, the Find X6 Pro.
Unfortunately, these leaks also came along with disappointing news regarding the availability of the Find X6 series. According to the serial tipster Ice Universe (opens in a new tab)Oppo’s Find X6 Pro won’t be sold worldwide, meaning it’s unlikely to arrive in the US or UK any time soon.
In response to Ice Universe’s claim, another leak Max Jambor (opens in a new tab)tweeted that the Find X6 Pro will also “won’t be sold anywhere in Europe”, so we’re increasingly confident that Oppo’s next premium phone will remain exclusive to China at launch.
Suffice it to say that the waiting Oppo fans are not satisfied. “You have to be joking,” one user (opens in a new tab) tweeted while other (opens in a new tab) wrote: “Now the emotions [for the Oppo Find X6 Pro] is gone.” Co-founder of 9to5Google Max Weinbach (opens in a new tab) he just said, “Woah.”
Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be sold worldwide, but OPPO Find X6 Pro will not.March 10, 2023
The lack of availability in the US of Oppo’s Find X6 Pro is actually not a surprise. Oppo does not have any US retail partners nor does it run its own US store. However, we were hoping for some form of release outside of China. The Oppo Find N2 Flip launched in Europe last month, so it’s disappointing to hear that the Find X6 Pro won’t follow suit.
It is worth clarifying that none of the aforementioned leaks apply to the standard model from the Find X6 line. So there is a chance that the vanilla Oppo Find X6 will go to Europe and beyond – but rumors about its more expensive siblings do not bode well.
Frustrating (for non-Chinese) new photos of the Find X6 Pro – also shared by Ice Universe – suggest it could be one of the best phones of 2023. We already suspected the device would arrive with a triple-lens, Hasselblad rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens, and these new photos live up to those predictions.

“Powered by MariSilicon” under the Hasselblad logo refers to Oppo’s internal imaging chipset, which is compatible with previous rumors (opens in a new tab) we’ve heard about the combination of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2/MariSilicon processor in the phone.
Aside from the camera setup and chipset credentials, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is said to have a 6.7-inch 2K screen, 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage, Android 13, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100mAh wired charging W and 50W wireless charging (on leaker Yogesh Brar (opens in a new tab)).
We’ll be able to confirm all of the above specs when the Oppo Find X6 Pro launches alongside its vanilla sibling later this month, so stay tuned to TechRadar for details.
