The War Zone 2 The Season 2 update is here, bringing some big changes to the popular Battle Royale multiplayer mode.

Warzone 2 updates with new content
New weapon
in New War Zone 2 Activision’s season 2 update confirmed six new weapons and guns. Three are available for free in the Season 2 Battle Pass, one available in the launch window of the Path of the Ronin event (ends March 24), and the last two coming later in the second season.
Here are the available weapons in that order:
- ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle
- Dual Kodachi melee weapon
- KV broadside shotgun
- Crossbow
- Deadly Shuriken Gear
- Tempus Torrent sniper rifle
New operator
The War Zone 2 the update saw the return of Ronin in season 2. He first appeared in the third season of the first War Zoneit’s been a while since we’ve seen his friendly face.
Ronin was forced to jump from first to second War Zone due to its ties to the Verdansk map. Some of its unlockable challenges are tied to this fictional city, meaning once upon a time this map was changed from the first War Zone became impossible to complete.
New map
The Resurgence game mode returns with the game War Zone 2 update for season 2. This time the action takes place on the island of Ashika off the coast of Japan. This classic game mode allows teammates to respawn as long as one ally is still alive. Because this new island is smaller than the previous map, it is better equipped to provide a dynamic alternative to Warzone’s traditional battle royale.
The new “Restore Honor” feature added in Season 2 allows players to drop a Dog Tag after their first in-game death. If you collect it alone or with a teammate, you’ll receive a cash reward and a single UAV boost that can reveal supply crates and enemies.
New event
New event in War Zone 2 update see Ronin transfer from the first War Zone.
The Path of Ronin event kicked off on the launch day of Season 2 and is set to end on March 24 according to the in-game clock. This event consists of seven challenges spread across different locations War Zone 2 AND Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remake which are based on the seven Bushido virtues: compassion, courage, honour, honesty, loyalty, respect and sincerity. All but Loyalty and Respect are currently playable, the last two will become active on February 28.
